Having spent their early-20s recording in mouldy home studios and sweaty attic recording spaces, Karate Boogaloo (Melbourne, Australia) have reimagined Deep Funk sensibilities into an off-kilter sound that leans heavily on cinematic themes, breaks and library music.

'Slappy' is a DIY left-field funk scorcher; a heavy-hitting, somewhat tounge-in-cheek instrumental that is aptly titled for its course, stabby rhythm section arrangement. 'Slappy' comes ahead of Karate Boogaloo's forthcoming debut original LP 'Carn The Boogers', slated for release May 2020 on College Of Knowledge Records.
